  • 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story' has actually been in shot in real locations. The school in which we see young Dhoni practicing is the real school of Mahendra Singh Dhoni- DAV JVM Shyamali.
  • Do you remember the advertisement in which Mahendra Singh Dhoni sponsors 'Boost'? The kid in that ad is the same guy who plays young Dhoni in the movie.
  • This was Anupam Kher’s third time playing the role of a father of a cricketer. Earlier two instances are- 'Victory' (father of Harman Baweja) and 'Dil Bole Hadipaa' (father of Shahid Kapoor)!
  • There were reports before the release of 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story' that Fawad Khan will play Virat Kohli, Abhishek Bachchan will essay Yuvraj Singh’s role, among various others. 
  • Director Neeraj Pandey had approached BCCI to get real footage of MS Dhoni playing on field in the international matches. BCCI demanded Rs 15 crore and Neeraj denied them paying such a huge amount.
  • The movie starts with 2011 World Cup Finals and ends there itself.
